Latest information about a patient who completely recovered from diabetes after treatment
Dr. Laura Trajano-Acampado, head of the Department of Endocrinology - Diabetes, Philippine General Hospital, informed that a patient in Manila had "recovered" from type 2 diabetes after treatment.
The patient was born in 1986 and lives in Manila. The patient was admitted to the emergency department in July 2024 with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, HbA1C 10.0%, weight 72.5 kg, height 1m63 and BMI = 26.8 (obese).
The patient was treated with a new method. After 2 months of treatment, the blood sugar index was brought back to the balance of 5.8 and by the third month, the complications of numbness in the limbs, blurred vision, frequent urination at night, no longer appeared leg ulcers, gradually healed completely.
On August 4, 2024, the patient was discharged from the hospital and continued treatment at home without medication or insulin injections.
